Broward County Purchasing Division Presents
Workshop on “How To Do Business with Broward County 2008”
All Business Owners are Encouraged to Attend. Vendor Registration at the Event
The Finance and Administrative Services Department, Purchasing Division will present a free public workshop titled “How To Do Business with Broward County 2008,” Friday, May 2, 2008, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Fort Lauderdale-Broward County Convention Center, 1950 Eisenhower Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale. Registration will begin at 8:15 a.m.
The overall goal is to introduce Broward County’s procurement process to local and out-of-state business owners who are interested in doing business with the County as well as becoming a registered Broward County vendor. The workshop will include 30-45 minute class sessions to guide vendors through the procurement process. Attendees will learn the following:

Broward County Mayor Lois Wexler, Interim County Administrator Bertha Henry and other Broward County administrative and management staff members are scheduled to speak at this event.
Representatives from the Purchasing Division will be on hand to register vendors with Broward County, answer questions and provide one-on-one assistance to participants. Those interested in becoming a registered vendor must provide a valid Federal Tax ID number and an email address.
The workshop is designed to provide information on the multiple aspects of doing business with the County, match-making opportunities between prime contractors and sub-contractors, and an opportunity to interact with County Staff and learn of upcoming County projects.

The event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required, seating is limited. The event includes a continental breakfast and luncheon.
