President’s Message

It is that time of year again that we ask you to reaffirm your belief that our organization has value. We need you to write us a check for $50 for your 2001 dues. If you desire to advertise beyond your business listing in our directory, there are many affordable alternatives from business card size ads all the way up to the cover sponsor. Your advertisement will last a full year and be listed in the 10,000 directories we print each year. 

The only reason we charge any dues for membership or advertising is so that we then have the ability to further promote the businesses that are members.All proceeds were used for this purpose last year and included, among other things, our “Holiday Bear Promotion” and the printing and distribution of the directories. Our meetings cost us nothing since the Marrinson Group again graciously donated the location AND the snacks and beverages for all meeting attendees. That is exactly what our association is all about, we want all businesses to flourish in our market, and we are all willing to help each other succeed. With this type of cooperation and coordination and marketing, etc., we cannot help but be successful as a group. 

Besides your once per year check, I need your help in two other areas to make us even more of a factor in building up our business base in town. I need you to try to attend some meeting this year. Strength comes in numbers and involvement as well as in competency. The second request is that you help us recruit some new numbers. Please look at one of the directories and see who is not listed as a member but is a visible business in town. We need them to come on board and join us in our quest to build up our business community to new heights. 

Lastly, I would like to thank Tara Coiro for again agreeing to be our sales representative for this annual membership drive. Her involvement does make a difference in our results.

• Promote inter-commerce trade between Wilton Manors businesses.
• Encourage interaction between city officials and business leaders
• Help promote the small town image with advantages of big city surroundings.
